Trump played golf in Aberdeen, Scotland this week as the UK burned. Eschewing meeting with foreign leaders or showing a concern for foreign policy on his trip, Donald Trump instead attended a ribbon cutting ceremony at his own golf course as one of the most momentous political sea changes of the 21st century happened in next door.

A proponent of the Brexit vote, Trump was in favor of the UK leaving the EU. He took to Twitter to praise the people of Scotland, who he said “took their country back.” Donald was apparently too busy playing golf to take a look at the voting numbers because Scotland voted almost 2 to 1 to stay in the EU. Not a single county in Scotland voted to leave the EU.
